Teddy and I Series Critique

       For my final, I decided to make this series basesed on one of my older drawings of my personal teddy besr I recived for my graduation.when looking at The drawings it gives the viewer a quick glimpse into the young girl's life. The elements of art used to create all three drawings were line,shape , re pretension in color, unity and balance. The idea of the seties was to bring a child like illustration, to connect with children as seen in children books. Hosever, there could have been just a bit more detail added to each picture, starting by giving full detail to the teddy bear by itself.

The illistations tells a story of how from an infant, to young adult, this teddy bear has been with her thorough her whole life series.

This piece took about 9 hours to complete. I decided to add enough detail to the drawing, in order for it too give an illusion of a realistic person, however in cartoon form.

Description:

• In this piece you can find yourself seeing many different faces picked together, on on head with a pop of color added.
• Being that each body part represnts a different woman bring harmony and unity

Analysis:

• The elements of art used ; Line,Space, Texture, Balance,Color, and Form
• The principles of art used; Harmony, Unity, Saturation,  and Proportion

 Interpretation: 

• This piece defines that no matter the way, we as women paint ourselves or the shade of our skin, we are all beautiful in many ways.
• The title definatly describes the photo in four words. 
• The picture brings empowerment and a piece of self confidence for all women.
• Choosing to layer bright and vibrant colors on top of the grey scale was beautiful.
• The date makes a huge difference, due to the fact this is what is staged as beauty in this day and age, then it would years ago.

Judgment:

• Others should see this piece of art is because not only does it tell a story, however it will leave the viewer with a good feeling as well as a different mind set then before.
• If I owned this picture I would get a bigger copy and promote it in different areas where most when visit.
• the most memorable thing about this picture is the face features and how they looked as if they were ripped from different pictures, glued onto one head.
